Damp Rid is a product that helps keep humidity levels low which you can leave in areas to fill up over a period of time.
While dehumidifiers use electricity and need to be emptied relatively frequently, Damp Rid can be left in a closet or under a bed and once it is filled up with water it wont fill up anymore.
Because of this you can leave it and just replace it whenever it fills up.
This is useful if you tend to get mold growth under your bed or on items in your closet.
Once you dispose of the moldy items, if you place Damp Rid in the area, it will help keep humidity levels low and usually prevent mold growth from occurring.
