Kwik Dry LLC has water mitigation experts available 24/7 to respond to all water cleanup emergencies.
After the initial emergency call to Kwik Dry Restoration for water damage cleanup, an IICRC certified expert will arrive immediately to mitigate further damages to your home.
We use state of the art drying equipment and water damage inspection tools.
Category 1: Category 1 water originates from a sanitary water source and does not pose substantial risk from dermal, ingestion, or inhalation exposure.
Examples of Category 1 water sources can include, but are not limited to: broken water supply lines; tub or sink overflows with no contaminants; appliance malfunctions involving water-supply lines; melting ice or snow; falling rainwater; broken toilet tanks, and toilet bowls that do not contain contaminants or additives.
No water loss is the same and the remediation process varies from job to job.
But there are a few standard practices that are required on each water restoration project.
Our technicians have taken classes and are certified in all areas of the restoration field.
1. Water Extraction: The first step of the drying process is water removal / water extraction.
We will extract all standing water from the affected material.
The more water we can remove from the structure, the faster we can bring the materials to a dry standard.
Along with the water damage mitigation services, Kwik Dry Restoration also performs whats called the 'buildback' portion of the water damage repairs.
This includes replacement of wet carpet, wet hardwood floors, wet drywall, wet cabinets, or any other non-salvageable materials.
We follow all recommendations set by the IICRC :: Institution of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification, on what materials can be salvaged and what materials need to be replaced.
For example: Any time particle board gets wet it must be replaced.
